Eagle Rock work ahead of schedule
The above scene shows the amount of work completed on the No. 5, 6 and 7 tees,
greens and fairways at Eagle Rock Resort.
Work on the first nine holes of the 18-hole Palmer
Course Design Company golf course at Eagle Rock Golf and Country Club,
Valley of Lakes, is progressing ahead of schedule, Frank Cedrone, managing
general partner of Valley of Lakes, said. Cedrone said the course should be ready for play in
the spring of 1991. The rough work has been completed and grass is being
planted on the tees, fairway and greens. In a fax message to the Standard-Speaker, from
Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Palmer said: "We are very excited to have
this project under way and we are looking forward to the completion of
the course on one of the most beautiful sites on which we have had the
opportunity to work." "The forest and topography of the land here will
make this an awesome course to see and play on," Cedrone said. Cedrone plans to open the first nine holes of the course
next spring while work continues on the second nine. |
